Black & White

My work explores the world through the stripped-back lens of monochrome. By removing the distraction of color, I use painting and drawing to focus entirely on the fundamental interplay of light, shadow, and texture.

I am fascinated by the dramatic tension found in high contrast and the subtle storytelling of tonal gray scales. By narrowing my palette to black and white, I invite the viewer to look more closely at the structural bones of a subject—revealing a timeless, graphic clarity that color often obscures.
